Packards Building on the water in Oakland.
This incredible elaborate and distinctive building was torn down in the 1960's, to make room for a parking lot. Bernard Maybeck designed it for Earle C. Anthony, the California Packard distributer. Around 1939 the building was either sold or leased to a Buick dealer. Maybeck also did the San Francisco Parkard building, which is still in use today, as well as many other notable buildings in California.
